What is Acupuncture?
Acupuncture is a part of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), which originated over 2,500 years ago. It involves placing small, sterile, stainless steel needles into various sections of the body to promote healing. These areas of needle insertion are called "acupuncture points" and are found throughout the body in a network called "meridians".
How does Acupuncture work?
In TCM, Qi and Blood are major substances that can cause disharmony within the body. Acupuncture works to nourish and regulate these substances, and bring the body's state of health back into balance.
Acupuncture stimulates and regulates the systems of the body that keep it functioning; therefore, promoting a self-healing treatment.
